But if you're escaping holiday hustle and bustle, the only sight you're likely interested in is the sprawled out beach of Tenerife. In Adeje there are several beaches to choose from. You can spend your days lounging on Playa de la Troya, Playa de Pinta, Playa de Torviscas, but Playa del Duque is really a superb choice. It's golden sand and breathtakingly clear water will have you relaxed in no time. There are equally wonderful things to say about Playa de Fanabe. The large stretch of sand is ideal for lounging, swimming, or any other beach day activity you and your family can come up with.

However, if you can peel yourself off your towel, Adeje does have other sights to offer.

Siam Park is a Thai themed waterpark. Known as one of the most exciting water parks in all of Europe, Siam Park is ready for the biggest thrill seekers. Spend a day here and take your chances on the 28-meter high waterslide! If adrenaline isn't your thing, however, you can simply take a stroll along the pathways to see the amazing sea lions from Loro Parque, or watch the Koi Carp glide under the waters of the lazy river. There's even an authentic Thai floating market.

But if Siam Park didn't soothe your (or your childrens') waterpark cravings, there's also Aqualand. Slide down corkscrew tubes, float down flumes, or race your travel companions down the crazy race slides. Just make sure you're at a stopping point at 3:30 for the dolphin show.

If an early tee time is more your style, you're in the right spot. Next to the beaches, golf is the top activity in Costa Adeje. Golf Costa Adeje is a 27-hole course just near the fishing village of La Caleta. If you can't spare enough time for a full 18, is a rather challenging 9-hole course available.

And, of course, if you find your leisure in retail, Costa Adeje has you covered. The beaches are lined with beautiful promenades sprinkled with boutiques and shops just waiting to be explored. This area is really meant for someone looking for a sophisticated, high-end getaway.
